ZAPO: Saygideger babacigim ve tonton annecigim benim. Ame boylesine tehlikeli bolgeye nasil sokulabildiniz? Hemen gidin buradan,
MOSYO TEPÁN: Babacigina savasin tehlikesi konsunda belki de ders vermek istiyorsun, ama bak oglum, kulak ver bana, butun bunlar benim icin cocuk oyuncagidir. Cok gerilere gitmeye luzum yok, daha son zamanlarda yuruyen bir yeralti treninden nasil atladigimi bir bilsen. Hem bir degil, iki degil, sayisiz defa.
MADAM TEPÁN: Caninin SIKILDIGINI dusunurek, sana konuk geldik. Boyle bir savas, zamanla insani ne de olsa usandirir.

SR. TEPÁN.–(Ceremoniosamente.) Hijo, levántate y besa en la frente a tu madre. (ZAPO, aliviado y sorprendido, se levanta y besa en la frente a su madre con mucho respeto. Quiere hablar. Su padre lo interrumpe.) Y ahora, bésame a mí. (Lo besa en la frente.)
ZAPO.–Pero papaítos, ¿cómo os habéis atrevido a venir **uí con lo peligroso que es? Iros inmediatamente.
SR. TEPÁN.–¿Acaso quieres dar a tu padre una lección de guerras y peligros? Esto para mí es un pasatiempo. Cuántas veces, sin ir más lejos, me he bajado del Metro en marcha.
SRA. TEPÁN.–Hemos pensado que te aburrirías, por eso te hemos venido a ver. Tanta guerra te tiene que aburrir.
