"Ich bin unruhig und giftig. Gestern vor dem Einschlafen hatte ich links oben im Kopf ein flackerndes kühles Flämmchen. Über meinem linken Auge hat sich eine Spannung schon eingebürgert. Er war auch ein wenig tiefer, aber nicht genug und oft unterbrochen. Ich sagte mir zum Trost, daß ich zwar die große Bewegung, die in mir gewesen war, wieder unterdrückt hatte, daß ich mich aber nicht aus der Hand geben wollte, wie früher immer nach solchen Zeiten, sondern daß ich mir auch der Nachwehen jener Bewegung genau bewußt bleiben wolle, was ich früher nie getan hatte. Vielleicht könnte ich so eine verborgene Standhaftigkeit in mir finden..."
