The "we got Allah" trading strategy seems to be working right now.....
JPM: "How much near-term upside is left? 20-25% on the index, more in the deeply discounted banks. With MSCI Turkey +30% from the low close on 30 October after -40% YTD, if we assume a 50% bounce off the lows, that leaves us only another 16% upside from here. However, should the market recover a little more as part of a post-COVID-19 recovery and the global value trade, we could see more like 20-25% further upside (or 60% off the lows). We will not pretend this is hard science. In terms of valuations, MSCI Turkey Financials is on 3.6x 12m fwd, a 46% discount to its 10-year average, while the non financials are 9.6x 12m fwd P/E, only a 7% discount. That valuation discrepancy clearly supports our call for the banks over the rest of the market in this trade"
