"Jovius'un yaptigi gibi ovunebilirim-in ea luce domicilii Vacicani, totius orbis celeberrimi, per 37 annos multa opportunaque didici.-Ben de ayni onun gibi, kutuphanede otuz kusur yildir calismalarimi surdurup,bir alim hayati suruyorum.Bu demek oluyor ki, ya bu bilgili asil toplum tarafindan faydasiz degersiz bir asalak olarak gorulecegim ya da boylesine saltanatli ve heybetli bir kurum benim her yazdigima rezil diyecek. Her iki turlu de nefret edilecegim kesin. Something I have done, though by my profession a divine, yet turbine raptus ingenii, as he said, out of a running wit, an unconstant, unsettled mind, I had a great desire to have some smattering in all, to be aliquis in omnibus, nullus in singulis."
